new voice dialing service from Google Check million hits in one day

After the announcement of Google a few days ago their intention to incorporate its new service "Google Voice" within the cc: Gmail has a large number of users of cc: conducting more than one million hits in one day to launch the service formally, this is what I said Google's updated on computed twitter update can be seen from here .
Does this mean that the service will be a success since the first day of publication? I think the answer is certainly yes, and I think it would be a strong competitor to similar services such as skype.
